About The Online Group

Formed in 1983, the Online Group started trading as Online Roadways, providing daily hire of vehicles and drivers for multi-drop deliveries throughout the South East of England from its base in Dagenham, Essex.

The Company has grown to its present day strength by offering a first class service to local, national and international industries - particularly the automotive industry which, owing to its just-in-time culture and production demands, requires the highest level of reliability and consistancy from its chosen logistics partners.

Success has been achieved by maintaining sound trading and training policies within the Online Group - customer satisfaction being the key to success. Building strong and lasting partnerships is at the foundation of Online's business. The Company is committed to providing its customers with the highest standard of service and support, operating a QMS structure in all departments - underwritten by ISO 9002 accreditation.

Online Roadways

Online Roadway’s operates a fleet of some 200 vehicles ranging from 1500 kilo to 38T, 13.6 meters trailers which are equipped and maintained to the highest standards. Often enlisted as last-minute quality support where a previous transport providers service has been poor, creating a need for intensive care for the client in order to rebuild credibility, we offer the complete transport solution to our clients as the ‘one stop shop’.

All local delivery vehicles are fitted with in-cab communications, and due to the variety of contracts that we currently serve, various types of specialised:

The curtain and rigid sided box vans carry pallet trucks to minimise customer involvement in unloading and maximising the number of drops.
Vehicles with drivers qualified and trained in the transportation of paints and chemicals to ADR (Euro agreement).
Courier services and urgent response needs are catered for with Transit vans and/or estate vehicles which travel throughout Europe at customer requests

Pallet distribution

All the staff have vast experience in National and European haulage. As a founder member of the Palletforce network with access to their SuperHub, we offer a National Pallet and Parcel distribution system including ADR, throughout the UK and Europe. We can provide pallet handling, order processing and routing for next day delivery within the home counties and national cover within consortium.

Online MBT

From economy to timed deliveries, full European and National bulk tipper service, freight forwarding to loading and discharging of ships, our modern fleet operation in Dover provides an outstanding service at the gateway to Europe.

MOT Test centre

Based in Dover, our complete workshop facilities include an MOT test centre suitable for all vehicles and trailers (PSV GV TRLs) All vehicles meeting current health and safety requirements can be tested on site. ADR and LEZ Phase 3 can be tested as well as vehicles laden with Diesel Gas Oil LPG and other compressed/liquefied gases within a sealed vessel and vehicles laden with any substances below 61 degrees centigrade including Bitumen.

Warehousing

Our clean modern warehouse facilities in Chadwell Heath offer excellent storage facilities for all types of freight including Zone I & II ADR. We offer breaking bulk to order, assembly for multi-drop deliveries and ‘pick and pack’ services. The site is protected with 24 hour security guards and both external and internal CCTV and alarm systems.
